MGH employees are a diverse mix of backgrounds, bringing different perspectives and approaches to the workplace. Almost every country of origin and language is represented by our employees. Many efforts and programs support employee networking and professional growth. In addition, we offer educational and development initiatives such as Spanish for Healthcare, Support Services Grants and an internal job readiness program for welfare and low income to work candidates called Project Rise.. Programs are also in place to support women and minority scientists and physicians. Same-sex partner benefits are offered in our medical plan. Cultural competency is a focus of our patient care training. Our workplace is a rich blend of individuals joining together to provide extraordinary care and service to our patients.

Education and Development

Spanish for Healthcare - a series offered to employees to develop their skills in supporting Spanish speaking patients and customers.

Adult Education - MGH offers English as a Second language courses on-site as well as math/reading and pre-GED.

Support Services Grant - a scholarship program providing assistance to employees in service positions in their educational pursuits.
